It’s going to be the most beautiful, tremendous game you’ve ever seen, believe us.
GOVR cafe and Maf’j Alvarez of Root Interactive are hosting a weekend-long live hackathon bringing developers, designers and artists from across the land to create an unapologetically all-out nappy-slinging world domination war game that brings out the egotistical power-hungry toddler in all of us.
‘Power Babies VR’ will be showcased at the cafe during the Brighton Digital Festival in October.
Audience weekend pass - no coding required!
We’re inviting people to be a part of the hackathon this weekend. As an audience participant, you’ll get to meet the developers, pitch ideas, test game features and mechanics and get a first look at the final outcome of the hackathon. You’ll also get a 15% discount off of your ticket to the official showcasing of ‘Power Babies VR’ during the Brighton Digital Festival this October.
Audience pass itinerary:
Saturday 5 October 5pm - 6pm:
Introduction to the hackathon and game
A brainstorming session to pitch ideas for the game
Testing of features and mechanics built on the day
Sunday 6 October 10am - 11am:
Recap of progress made in the first day of the hackathon
Demo of ‘power babies’ made in the first day of the hackathon
Brainstorming session to pitch ideas for two more ‘power babies’
Sunday 6 October 5pm - 6pm:

Please note that hackathons involve a lot of improvisation, adaptation to developments on the day and progress through trial and error. As an audience member, you will get access to and participate in a work-in-progress, not a final product. The features and mechanics you will get to test may not be fully developed.
