The VR Creative Arts Club is putting on an exciting 10 week creative VR drama course for children at GOVR cafe beginning in September. Two taster sessions will be run in August.
The VR Creative Arts Club, founded by award winning educator and performer Nelly Lewis, offers an educational platform in which children can use the latest in virtual reality technology to develop a wide range of creative and social skills.
About the course:
This fun and exclusive 10 week course offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating combination of creative drama and virtual reality.
Each session begins with fun and engaging activities in drama and performance before guiding the children on how to use VR programs that will allow the children to perform on a virtual stage, use avatars and costumes, create 3D stage decor and more.
By the end of the course each participant will have the opportunity to express the dramatic and technical knowledge they have acquired by creating their very own immersive theatrical production. This will culminate in a special performance for family and friends, which will be professionally recorded to keep and share.
The 10 week course starts on Friday 20 September and will run every Friday from 4pm to 5:30pm until Friday 29 November.
